All Smiles

A smile from Asher, could be gas, but we are gonna take it as a smile! He is so precious!

(new post below)

One Month old!

Asher was 5 weeks old this past Monday! We went last week for our one month well baby check up. He weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and was 22 1/2 inches long! He is a healthy baby boy! He is constantly looking around at everything. He is fascinated by the lights on our Christmas tree. He is starting to sleep better at night. He still gets up every 2-3 hours to eat, but now he is at least sleeping in between feedings--yay! Here are a few pictures we thought were funny. He looks like a little man!

A Week of Firsts

Asher had many "firsts" this past week. He went to church for the first time last Sunday. I kept him with me in my "peanut shell", which is basically a sling that I carry him around in. (It is very useful around the house when he won't let me put him down). He did really well during the service. He was actually awake for most of it. We sat in the back and he loved hearing Daddy sing!

After church we went to Struts, mommy's FAVORITE restaurant! It was Asher's first time and he slept the whole time we were there.
On Monday, he had his first bath in his bathtub. His umbilical cord finally fell off and he was able to get a bath in the tub.....he didn't like it very much. He screamed the whole time. He has gotten a lot more used to it since then. Today, he actually seemed to enjoy it.
On Wednesday, Zack's sister April and her family came into town from Texas for Thanksgiving and Asher got to meet his cousins for the first time. We had a great time visiting!

Worn out after playing with, well actually watching everyone

On Thursday we packed up and headed to Tennessee to my grandparents--Asher's first visit to Great Grams and Asher's first Thanksgiving! He did great on the two hour drive--he slept the whole time both ways! Great Grams rocking Little Man
Uncle Davey teaching Asher his ABC's

To end the week, Asher's first Iron Bowl experience--we went to Eaglepoint to watch the game--Asher slept through most of it--imagine that! Asher's newest cousin was born Saturday too--Marshall Henry Hunter. We don't have any pictures of them together yet, but we know they are going to be good buddies! Here are some pictures of my boys in their Auburn gear.
It was a very busy and eventful week for our boy! We are so thankful for the time we got to spend with our families! Yesterday he turned 4 weeks old. We have been so blessed by this sweet little boy! We go for our one month well baby check up tomorrow--we'll let you know his stats!

Fall Pictures

Zack and I took some pictures of Asher on Friday, pictures that he will probably hate us for in the future, but we thought he looked so precious!  Asher is doing well! He is two weeks old today.  He is eating great and changing so much every day. We love to watch him make faces in his sleep and when he's awake watching how he just takes everything around him in. The Lord has blessed our family beyond anything we could have imagined with this sweet little boy! We are amazed and so humbled that He chose us to be Asher's parents!  I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Life with Asher

Here are some pictures from our time at home so far. We are all doing well, trying to get adjusted to life at home and get into a routine. Asher is a beautiful baby boy and so far is a very good baby!  We are loving every moment we spend with him and find that we can't seem to stop staring at him!  We went to the doctor yesterday and Asher has gained 3 ounces since we left the hospital (yay!), but he is still a little jaundiced.  We are going to have more blood work again in the morning to see if his levels are dropping on their own or if he will have to be put in the hospital for light therapy.  Hopefully all will go well tomorrow.
