Happy Halloween!

October is one of my FAVORITE months. Fall is actually my favorite time of the year. The beautiful leaves start changing, the weather gets cooler, Zack turns another year older :) and HALLOWEEN happens! Yesterday we spent the whole day at home. It was so fun spending time together just hanging out at the house, playing outside. We even carved a pumpkin to set on our porch for Halloween. We thought Asher would love playing with all the messy inside stuff from the pumpkin, but he didn't want to have anything to do with it. He wouldn't even stick his hand inside the pumpkin at all. He watched somewhat disinterestedly for a while....
.....and finally escaped to do what he really wanted to do....
pretending to eat the seeds

The Finished Product!

We waited for trick or treaters, but no one came, we live in a neighborhood with a lot of older people haha, SO we ended the night making yummy s'mores. Asher did not like the fire too much, but he enjoyed eating the chocolate and gooey marshmallows and had fun singing the S'mores song from his favorite toddler CD :)

Sweet Honor, enjoying the warm fire

Happy Halloween everyone!!

Fall Football!!

Football--one of the our most favorite things about fall! We have enjoyed taking Asher to several games both high school and one Auburn game! He has loved it. He loves watching the game and the band. His Auntie Caroline plays in the high school band and he loves listening to the drums. Here are a few pictures from our fun family outings to watch football!

Sweet Honor is 5 months old!

Honor is 5 months old--WOW! Time is just flying by and I am trying so hard to keep up :) Our sweet baby girl is such a delight! The joys of having a daughter are unending! I have the best time picking out her outfits and putting sweet little hair bows--and some not so little--on her precious head. 5 months have brought a few milestones for our baby girl--the main one being rolling over. She doesn't get to lay around on her tummy too much, mainly because I worry Asher will kill her if I leave her in the floor--haha, but she rolled over for the first time about a month ago from her back to her tummy. Now she can roll both ways. She smiles and giggles ALL the time! She loves to be talked too. She has recently started this little screech when she wants to get your attention. It is cute most of the time, until I'm needing to get something done and she is wanting my attention. She always, always has a smile or giggle for Asher. All he has to do is look at her and she will crack up. She loves him! I know they are going to really enjoy each other in the years to come. She is not sitting up by herself just yet, but she wants to! We are almost ready to start rice cereal. I have been holding out mainly because I'm not ready for her to start yet....just trying to keep her my little baby for a while longer I guess. We'll be starting cereal soon and I'll make sure I post pictures. Asher of course loves his Honor. He will try to comfort her when she cries, talking in a sweet singsong voice, saying "Honor Bonner", etc. It is so sweet. We are loving life! Hope to be able to keep posting more frequently, mainly for myself just so I can remember milestones and big events, etc. Hope you enjoy a few pictures of Honor from the past few weeks/months :)

Asher James

He loves his sister!

Daddy is my favorite!!

He loves to draw and color!

Playing at Oxford Park in the fountains

My little boy will be two in less than 3 months! And what a sweet boy he is! My absence from the blogging world is much due to the fact that this little boy keeps me running!! He is such a joy to all who know him and is one dearly loved little boy! He is growing and changing so much. He keeps Zack and I very entertained. We love to watch him learn new things and listen to him talk! He is speaking in sentences now and will repeat just about anything and everything he hears. He is very polite! We read a book about manners and he will repeat No thank you, and say excuse me. He always says please and thank you on his own without any prompting from us--which I am VERY proud of :). His most favorite things right now are trucks, guitars, drums, playing "fix it" with his tools, playing basketball, baseball---playing ANY sport with Daddy, "Thomas the choo choo", Praise Baby (we have a praise baby DVD and he is always asking to watch it!), and of course his bike. We bought him a little bike that is similar to a big wheel. He can't quite reach the pedals yet, but he pushes himself with his feet on the ground. He was so excited about this bike--probably more excited about this than anything else I have ever bought him. He was hugging the box in the store. When we came home, he helped me put it together and rode it ALL over the house, outside, and then we had to bring it inside with us when we came in for the day. That night at bedtime, he had to ride his bike to his bed and the next morning Zack and I awoke to that sweet little boy riding his bike into our bedroom. He is such a mess and SO MUCH FUN right now!! He is all boy. He loves to jump off of things, climb anything that is climb-able ( and sometimes things that aren't) He loves to run, play basketball, and love on his little sister! We taught him his full name, which has led him to think that everyone's last name is Casey. One of the sweetest things I love to hear him say is "Ashey Casey". I can't say enough what a joy he is right now. The pictures above are just a few random pictures from this summer.
An update on coming Honor soon!!
