A Day Out with Thomas

In March my mom and I took Asher and Honor to ride Thomas! He LOVES trains and we read all the Thomas books and occasionally watch the movies (they are a bit boring if you haven't seen them) Anyways, Asher had such a FUN day. He loved riding on the train. There were several things to do around the ride, like play with trains, live music, food, a moon bounce, and meeting Sir Topham Hatt. We didn't stand in line to meet him, but Asher waved from afar. I knew if we stood in line, we would get up there and Asher wouldn't have anything to do with him. But he enjoyed seeing him from a safe distance :) A fun day with some good memories!!

On the train!!

Happy Easter!

Wow! What an amazing weekend we had celebrating our RISEN Savior! We had three services at Eaglepoint this weekend and each one was so incredibly spirit filled. Our pastor Derek encouraged us to not only celebrate Easter weekend and the resurrection, but to experience Easter and the power, forgiveness, and grace that we find at the cross, where Jesus gave His life so that we could be restored to relationship with our heavenly father! Wow! We are so blessed to serve at Eaglepoint Church! I of course dressed the kids up--the one day of the year that I actually try to put nice clothes on Asher--haha! You can't see from the pictures, but his white shirt actually has red candy stains and paint stains, which is why he never dresses up :) So here are some pictures of my precious blessings.

These are from Saturday night.

Silly face :)

Paging Dr Asher

I found this doctor kit in the closet that I had bought Asher for Christmas, hidden it and forgot to give it to him....sooo he had a fun surprise waiting for him when he got home from school one day. He has so much fun playing it, giving everyone "shots" and listening to our hearts, looking in our ears. He will look and say "hmmm, you need a shot...." Provides lots of entertainment.

Honor likes to play too

January-March

here are a few random pictures from January, February and some in March. We went on a picnic one day when the weather first started getting warm. It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun playing at the park.
This is a sweet picture of my boy playing his drums :)
Post-crawling, watching Big Brother play outside
Riding in the wagon at the park
I LOVE this picture of them :)
Throwing football with Daddy at the park
These pictures are pre-crawling, as you can tell she wasn't going anywhere, but still as happy as can be :)

I love how you can see her little mohawk here :)

One month from today....

sigh...one month from today my little girl will be ONE! Where has the time gone and how have I done such a bad job at documenting her first year of life! Yipes! We stay very busy. I so wish I was better about blogging. But anyways.....enough of woulda coulda shoulda...On to the good stuff: Asher is growing and changing every day. He is the same fun loving, wild child he always has been. He says the funniest things. I laugh at him all the time! He wakes up ready to go and is wide open until bedtime. (Thankfully he does still have a nap). He can count to eleven, but past there it gets a little iffy. He knows all of his colors and is learning his letters. He loves to run. That is his favorite thing, he says anyways. He still loves to play his drums. He loves to read and can "read" several of his favorite books back to us. We signed him up for TOTS soccer and it has been pretty fun so far. More of organized play and not actually playing games. They teach them skills and things like that. He seems to enjoy it. We love to watch him :) For a two year old he is pretty coordinated. He loves his sister to death. It is so sweet to watch him include her while he is playing. She just blissfully follows him around. She loves him back! He loves helping Daddy. He loves playing with his tools and his cars. He loves riding his bike. He is a blast and I am loving keeping up with this boy.

My sweet Honor continues to amaze me with her precious personality. She is just that--precious! She has the sweetest disposition. She started crawling right at 10 months, may be a little bit sooner. The same week she started crawling, she started pulling up on everything. She loves to stand at the car table we have for Asher and play with his cars. So far, she is not drawn to anything girly, but much prefers to chew on toy cars and trains then play with her tea set and dolls. Hopefully, one day she will have tea parties and play dress up, but for now she is just as content with a ball. She wants to be wherever brother is. She has several words: ball, Ah-ah (for Asher), bye-bye (while waving), nana for banana, uh-oh when she drops things, she signs "more" and "all done". We haven't done as well with sign language as we did with Asher, but she is getting it. Everything has been a few months behind with her compared to when Asher did things. I suppose that is normal with a second baby, but I also know that every child is different too. She is so very happy and loves to laugh. She has this face she makes where she squenches up her nose and just grins from ear to ear. It is my favorite face ever! She has two little teeth on the bottom, but none on top yet. She likes to read also and sits pretty patiently through some longer books for Asher. She eats really well. We had a lot of trouble with baby food, but once we started table food--WOW--my girl can eat!! and lookout if you try to take food away from her before she is done. She will let.you.know she is not happy about it...it is pretty funny. Ok so is that enough of the random spurts of information? Our house is fun, fun, fun! There is rarely a dull moment, which might explain my absence from the blogging world. These are mainly just things I want to remember. These days are so precious and I try not to take one single day for granted. I am SO thankful for all that God has blessed me with. I am SO unworthy of all that He gives, but WOW am I thankful! God is so good and so faithful to us! "The Lord has done GREAT things for us and we are filled with JOY" (Psalm 126:3) I hope to fill you in on some updates of just a few fun things we have done over the past few weeks. We have loads of pictures--so stay tuned for more :) And just so this post isn't pictureless I will leave you with two pictures from our beach trip a few weeks ago--couldn't you just eat them up?!!?

No Nonsense

On our way home from running errands today, Asher and Honor were having the funniest exchange.....Here's how it went down:
Honor was blowing rasberries with her sweet little mouth and Asher says: "No, Honor, no 'pitting! alright? No Honor, that's rude, 'top 'pitting." Honor is not phased, so he continues: " You hear me? Obey Asher, ok? Stop spitting!" Honor just giggles and continues spitting....

(Zack and I were cracking up! Just wanted to share :))
