Seven Months

Asher turned seven months on Wednesday.  It is so amazing how quickly he is learning and growing and doing new things. It seems like what he couldn't do yesterday, he can do today!  Seven months have brought crawling and crawling fast if I can add!  If he wants to get somewhere you better look out!  He can move from a sitting position to a crawling position and then back to the sitting position again.  He can pull himself to a standing position, although he is a little wobbly and needs a lot of help standing.  He likes to be 'walked' (where we hold his hands and help him take steps).  I started giving him puffs and he loves to feed them to himself. He is really good at using his thumb and pointer finger to pick them up.  He pats everything. Tonight at dinner we sat his highchair next to the table and he just pounded his little hands on the table and screamed and giggled.  I don't know what is so great about it--but he sure loves it.  He loves to scream. He babbles and laughs all the time!  He has started making a lot of consonant sounds. He can say 'ba-ba' and 'ma-ma' (although he doesn't know what that means yet).  When we went to the doctor for his 6 month appointment, he weighed 17 pounds 8 ounces and was 26 1/2 inches long!  I cannot even begin to tell you how thankful we are that the Lord chose to bless our marriage with this sweet little boy!  We love him so much! and continue to be amazed every day by the things he is learning and how he grows!  Continue to pray for me and Zack that the Lord would give us wisdom as parents and that we would raise Asher to trust in God's faithfulness and to fully rely on His truth!  More pictures to come :)
