This week we have been in Panama City Beach, Florida with my family. It was Asher's very first trip to the beach!! We have had a wonderful trip and are sad to be leaving tomorrow :( Asher has been such a trooper this week! We drove down Sunday night and drove through the night so that he would sleep, which he did pretty much the entire way. We have had BEAUTIFUL weather! The water has been so clear, and it has been hot hot hot! We have enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Before Asher was born we would usually go out to the pool early in the morning and stay out until late afternoon, but we have had to adjust a little bit with little man being here. We waited to go out to the pool until after his morning nap and stay until lunch, go in for lunch and someone would stay in during his afternoon nap and then we would bring him back out again. We stayed with him in the shade for the most part and would spend a lot of time with him in the water because it is so hot! Our second day here, Asher began to have a runny nose, which he has never had before. He has never had so much as a fever before, so I was a little worried about him. But he has gotten better as the week passed. I think he is just teething and that is causing the runny nose. He is getting one of his top front teeth, but he has been a champ! We took Asher to the beach a few times to check out the sand and the ocean. He didn't really know what to think. He liked to touch the sand the second time we went out there and of course he tried to eat it, but he was pretty scared of the water. I don't know if the sound of the waves scared him or what, but he did not like for us to hold him near the water or stick his feet in the water. By far I think his favorite thing to do was to crawl around the coffee table. He would spend the longest time just crawling in and around and over the coffee table. He is a climber!! Two new and exciting things happened this week--we mastered the sippy cup!! We have been working on it for a while and he has had a really hard time. He just did NOT want to drink from the cup, but today something just clicked and he started drinking from it! He also started clapping his hands this week. It is so cute!! Anyways I have a ton of pictures that I am going to post hopefully tomorrow! We had a great time and are so grateful for the chance to get away and relax and spend some time with the fam!
