Honor Blake was born Tuesday May 11th weighing in at 8 pounds even and was 21 inches long. A beautiful red-headed bundle of preciousness!! She turned one month old this past Tuesday! I can't believe it has already been a month since she made her debut into our world. All I can say is what a blessing she has been to our family--a perfect fit for us! She is completely opposite her brother in every way, so far :) I had a wonderful labor and delivery with no problems or complications. Life at home has been great, but it has been a BIG adjustment. Learning to live as a family of four has its challenges--mainly on Mommy :) I can honestly say I had no idea about the stresses of motherhood when I only had Asher and could give him all of my attention. I am still trying to figure out how to take care of my babies and cook dinner in the same day--haha! But we are blessed beyond measure with our children! Zack and I praise the Lord for Honor's safe arrival and the addition of a beautiful healthy baby girl to our family!! Here are some pictures from Honor's birthday and Asher meeting Honor.
My sweet boy!! He is growing so fast and changing so much every day! He is talking so much! He LOVES to read. His favorite books are Brown Bear, a book about trucks and a book about first words. He loves to point to the pictures and tell us what they are. He will get a book and pat the ground next to him and say 'Mommy, Daddy' so we'll come read with him. He loves to be outside. I think he would live outside if he could. There is not much else he would rather do than play in the dirt or ride in his car, as long as he's outside, he's happy. We are busy busy getting ready for little Miss Honor Blake! She'll be here any day now. Please pray for our family as we make this transition. Asher is such a sweet and loving child. He loves babies and I know he is going to be an amazing big brother! He is also very very much a Mama's boy, so pray that he will adjust well with having to share his Mommy and Daddy when his baby sister gets here. We have our 18 month appointment this week. I can't believe my baby is 18 months old!! Here are some pictures of him recently.
Asher and I took a trip to Nocalula Falls with our good friends Bekah and Walker. We had a great time!! The boys loved riding the train! Asher would say choo-choo!! He loved it. Asher loved looking at all the animals. There was a little lamb that followed the boys around. It was soo sweet. We ended the day with some yummy ice cream cones! Here are some pictures from our day!
Well I have been bad about blogging lately (Sorry Grams :)) I tend to stay on the go with my little man...goodness knows it is about to get a whole lot busier! Last week Zack was gone to New Orleans with our college students on a mission trip. He had a great time and we enjoyed getting to spend lots of special time with Nonnie, Aunt Caroline and Aunt Gabrielle while he was gone, but we were VERY glad to have Daddy back home! I am 8 weeks away from my due date today! We decided on a name--finally. Our baby girl will be Honor Blake Casey. It took me forever to finally commit, but Honor is her name! I am SO ready to meet this little girl! While Zack was gone, mom helped me fix up Honor's room. We had it painted (pink of course) and put the bed and bedding up. We still have a good bit to add, but it is a start. I love going in there and seeing all the pink! So fun! Asher is getting busier by the day. I love every second I get to spend with him. I am so lucky to be his Mommy!! I am so humbled that God allows me to mother this bright, happy beautiful boy! What a blessing he is! Here is a CUTE picture of Asher from two Sunday's ago after he woke up from his nap. I thought the outfit was adorable :)
Asher has recently gotten very, very attached to Zack. He insists on doing everything Daddy does. If Daddy is working on something, so is Asher. If Daddy has a tool of some sort, Asher needs one to work with too! He is such a good helper!! Needless to say we MISSED Daddy while he was gone to New Orleans last week. We had some trees cut down last week and Zack had to fill in the holes where they chopped up the stumps and of course Asher had to help Daddy. Here are some pictures I took because it was too cute :)
We had some beautiful weather last Saturday, so we decided to take a trip to the park. We had a great time playing! Asher could hardly play for all the socializing he had to do. He is such a friendly baby! He had to say Hey to everyone. I even had to stop him several times from giving hugs and kisses to the other kids playing, telling him that we don't kiss strangers. I guess that is the downside to having such an outgoing, loving baby--but I'll take that any day. It was hard to get pictures of Asher because he is always on the move, but here are a few I was able to snap.
