Some Happenings
So here is what has been going on with us lately. Well about three weeks ago, Asher came down with an upper respiratory infection and a double ear infection. Right as we had recovered from that and just about finished up our antibiotic. He came down with a fever. We decided to take him to the doctor just to make sure nothing was wrong. Turns out--he had the swine flu! Luckily, it was very mild. He only had a fever and was achy. After a round of Tamiflu and being stuck at home for a week, we have completely recovered from that and gotten back into our routine. This was our first full week of school and work, so I think we are finally back to normal. He is walking so much now---he walks more than he crawls! It is so fun to watch him. He is so independent and wants to do things for himself. He is just more precious than ever! We will be celebrating his first birthday in 2 short weeks!! As far as pregnancy goes, I have one more week in the first trimester and boy am I ready for the second!! I have been pretty sick this time around and VERY tired---and I'm sure the fact that I have to chase an 11 month old around has nothing to do with that--haha. Other than that, everything is going wonderfully. We got to hear the sweet heartbeat yesterday for the first time. 145 bpm--another boy maybe?? Who knows? We also celebrated Daddy's birthday this week and had our first hair cut--so more updates and pictures to come soon!!

Point One
Eaglepoint had our one year celebration last Saturday. We had blow up games, food vendors, face painting and live music--it was awesome! We have been so blessed this past year. God has done some amazing things this past year! We are so, so grateful for Eaglepoint Church. God is so faithful!! Here are a few pictures of Asher at the celebration.

11 months
Asher turned 11 months on Monday!! He is getting sooooo big!! He is the sweetest little boy! 11 months has brought us two more teeth. We now have a total of 8. Four on top and Four on bottom. He is very, very close to walking. He will take steps on his own, he just hasn't quite figured out that walking will be a faster way of going places. Once he does, I'm sure he'll be everywhere. He has really good balance, right now he just prefers crawling. He has had his first ear infection (sad). Last week he developed a cough and runny nose. We took him to the doctor and he said that Asher had a double ear infection, and an upper respiratory infection. So we are still finishing up our antibiotics. He was a trooper! He will sign please and say 'ma, ma" when he wants more of something. And he will sign thank you, but you have to prompt him to do this. AND yesterday Zack came home from work and Asher said 'Da-da'. First words? We are going to count it. He is very smart and such a sweet, sweet boy. He LOVES giving hugs and kisses. Every time he walks to us, he thinks he needs a hug. It is so sweet. Anyways--we are one month from our first birthday! We are having a party on Halloween--monster theme--sooo excited. Anywho, here are a few pictures from lately.

You can't really tell, but he's standing up on his own here--yay!

Neat Freak?
The other night, Asher finished eating his dinner and we got him out of his high chair. He picked up a napkin off of our table and started wiping his tray off. It was so cute--maybe he has inherited his Daddy's 'cleanliness' gene :) He doesn't like for things to be messy. He is always cleaning things off of the coffee table and if he has a messy dinner he LOVES to be cleaned up. I had to take pictures because I thought it was so funny.

I know this picture is blurry--but I love that face :)

Big News!!!
Psalm 127:3 says"Behold, children are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward." Zack and I found out a few weeks ago that we are expecting another baby! We had an ultrasound last week and our due date will be May 18th, but if this baby is anything like their big brother, it'll be closer to May 25th--haha! We couldn't be more excited about our news! We are so grateful that the Lord saw fit to bless us with another sweet baby. We know Asher is going to be a wonderful big brother and can't wait to add another little one to The Casey Clan :) Many adventures are in store for us!! Please be in prayer for us, me specifically as this little life grows inside of me. Pray that this baby will be healthy and that this pregnancy will be smooth and uneventful :) So far, I have been feeling pretty yucky, but I know that this will hopefully only last a few more weeks. That being said I'll leave you with a snapshot of the newest Casey Baby:

So sweet and tiny!! What a miracle!!

Disturb us, Lord!
I found this poem the other day and wanted to share it with you because I thought it was so moving. I have meditated on it and let the words convict my heart and hope that you will do the same.
Disturb us, Lord, when
We are too well pleased with ourselves,
When our dreams have come true
Because we have dreamed too little,
When we arrived safely
Because we sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us, Lord, when
With the abundance of things we possess
We have lost our thirst
For the waters of life;
Having fallen in love with life,
We have ceased to dream of eternity
And in our efforts to build a new earth,
We have allowed our vision
Of the new Heaven to dim.
Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly,
To venture on wider seas
Where storms will show your mastery;
Where losing sight of land,
We shall find the stars.
We ask You to push back
The horizons of our hopes;
And to push into the future
In strength, courage, hope, and love.
